Bloody hell. :)Cammo wrote:Nice pics!![]()
They look pretty good as replacements, but a few questions:
- Have you fitted them to the bike yet? If so, are you using original fairings?
- Any clearance issues with the top radiator being straight (not curved like the original)?
- Any chance you can compare the volume of these with the standard rads?
- Can you mount the fan to the bottom rad?
Cheers.
- I have fitted them, I have got NC30 Glass fairings without a V-Piece.
- No clearance issues,
- I will pull them off and measure the volume for you this weekend, my std rads are pretty toast but I will also measure their volume
- I dont have a fan as it is a race bike, how does the standard attach?
Cheers,

999 Gomez, block 2 of the holes on the rad, fil it up, block the 3 holes, and weigh the rad. then drain the water out into a mesureing jug, that way you get the two variables,Neosophist wrote:They do look nice as a replacement but i'm wondering how 'race' orientated they are or if they are just copies of the standard rad.
Some volume measurements and real-world test would be awesome!
The rads Gav sells look slightly different...
bare in mind the old rad may weigh a bit more becuase of the dirt trapped between the fins, hence why i said weigh the rad, and measure the water within, do the same with both rads to compare

Re: Ebay Race Rads - Group Buy - AUSTRALIA
Looking at the pics there dont seem to be any tabs for the radiator to connect to. There should be three, two bent over at 90 degrees, one at top, another bottom left, and one upright, parallel to the bottom on the rad on the left hand side. I dont see any of the pics. Just the rad mounting brackets.
Cammo, looks like a standard ran fan wouldnt work. But I could be wrong.....Its not unheard of

Top Radiator holds 450ml
Bottom holds 525ml
There are tabs to hold a rad screen onto the top radiator, but there are not tabs to hold a standard fan on the bottom radiator.
Cheers,

I have some good news.......
He will make CURVED top rads instead of the flat ones. As long as we get 10 sets.
1 set of Curved Top, Bottom as pictured will be $393 AUD landed.
Hope this generates some interest.

It may well generate some interest, if I know if it fits an NC35 or not... does it?999Gomerz wrote:I have some good news.......

beware of shipping them all together to the same address
if the total cost including shipping exceeds $1K then you egt hit with GST and import duty as well and if they are sent via ups/dhl etc they stick their hand out as well for a charge

Only if the declared value is over 1K.
He will also send the curved ones to the UK, and the more we buy the greater the discount.
C'mon guys, who's in? I want a cheap curved radiator but I don't want to buy 10.
