Clicking Chain?

Greetings oh knowledgeable ones. I am back with yet more riddles for you to solve.

Ok so my bike has always made a noise when you push it forwards, like a clicking noise. When I'm rolling the bike in the garage or out the garage backwards it makes a click/rubbing noise. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the chain but it seems to be from the front sprocket - does that have a bearing that could be worn or something?

It's probably also worth mentioning that the back wheel is very stiff to turn by hand. Fixing the binding brake alleviated some of the pain, but it still doesn't free spin at all compared to friends bikes - tried this on the rear stand and with the wheel in the air (balancing on the sidestand).

Never really done anything about it but just came back from a rather thrashing ride (bike was very hot if that makes a change) and it was really make a loud clicking/rubbing noise from the chain as I brought it in.

I recently took the sprocket cover off to clean out some of the shit (where I found a 16mmish bolt just sat there under my sprocket that could of killed me - yay DIY cowboys!) but didn't notice anything amiss.

what are the teeth like on the sprockets?

Chains and sporckets are not erally items you ignore if they make dodgy noises.

There is a bearing on the output shaft too..if that is knackered I am fairly sure it is a decent bit of graft to sort it.

Chains do make a certain amount of noise even when new and well oiled. Much more when old and poorly maintained.
