Indicator troubles!!

Post by speedstar »

Hi

Have juts fitted LED indicators front and back and replced the relay with the correct one under the seat.

The problem is now that when the indicators are on in EITHER direction all four turn on :S

Its as if im using hazard warning lights. I cant find a short anywhere but i dont know where i should be looking for one. The indicators worked fine prior to the conversion.

The bike is a GK76A fitted with a datatool System 3 alarm (which has the hazard warning light function if this makes a difference)

Any help here will be muchly appreciated! The weathers picking up a bit but i can enjoy it :(

Cheers guys

Have you got a schematic of your wiring? My guess is that you've wired the relay incorrectly.

Double checked the wiring and all seems to follow the instructions thats came with relay and all seems to be spot on.

Is it possible that the LH switchgear has broken on me for an unrelated reason?

It's possible, but i'd say it's unlikely. Have you tried putting the stock stuff back to see if that works?

Deffo got back to stock and try again, if still no joy post on the main tech talk as more people will read it and someone may know if its alarm related.

Sorry about the bump, but the bike hasn't been touched for a looonnnggg time and this is a problem I had forgotten all about. I'm fairly certain the switch is at fault. I think I have a spare LH switchgear kicking around to test. I'm also fairly sure its definitly NOT the alarm. Is there anything else it could be?
