1200 wet n dry sorted the brake deposit on the discs mate :peace:

after been sitting in the shed for a monthe the stuff pretty much turned to dust anyways lol

wheels on but had to hold 5 to pop to bike shop for some red rubber grease..... spent nearly 2 hours with some real fine tools cleaning out all the crud from the piston seal bores and cleaning the hole caliper. this afternoon ill be sorting the new piston kit and fitting the back line and bleeding , the new forks are due tommorrow so hopfully i can do the front end lines etc then too! sweet.

i did buy new clutch and throttle lines too but im sure at the time i did i thought my bike was a K model, so sourced those!! iv heard some cables differ from the K and L models..... like clutch etc..... spose ill find out tommorrow unless a lad can tell me other wise!? cheers guys. pics to follow of shiney things fitted

i think the throttle cables are the same but the clutch cables are different lengths

dave silver spares sent me an L model one and it was to long for the K model i dont know why there diferent lengths becuase between the two bikes they are identical except for a few changes.

well i think i bought a K, ill double check with whats on there tommorrow hopefully if my forks turn up.

so rear wheel is back on, everything took a bit of time because i cleaned as i went, de-grimed and fresh grease/oil etc where needed. well worth it imo while everythings off, all bolts that are reusable got a blast from a rotry wire wheel, good as new. others that looked past it got re-newed.

tbh all the cleaning and prep takes longer than to fit the parts lol plus i spent a good 2-2 1/2 hours in the fking school run-work run looking for red rubber grease for my new piston kit.

rebuilt the rear caliper, cleaned , spent ages with some softish tiny tools scrapping and cleaning between the oil and dust seal groves, do it right or not at all. rubber grease all parts , kitted the kits.

changed over the rear brake lines for my HEL ones, routed and secure, bleed system, took 10mins once everythings fitted. got a really nice progresive bite to the peddle too, no spongy shit. new pads fitted too.

fitted the new fron n rear sprockets, all refurbed bolts. looks nice. everything torqed up correct as per w.s.m.
gunna get my uncle to pop over tommorrow n fit the new chain, he s got one of those tools to do it with! the one thing i dont have really. oh, and tryed fitting the r&g crash bung bar too lol that confused me the most lol the holes/threads for the bolts to locate have never been used so are proper oxidixed up, tight fit! could do with tapping the thread through really, might pop off and get the tool for the job befor i start tommorrow....just funds are a little low at the mo, not much work on.

started cleaning the bottom rad too, sprayed a load of degreser over it, used a hole can plus wd40 inbetween, its a mess! might change it over! plus its dented at the bottom, i dont reckon it ll have no cooling effect the way it is at the mo!

anyone got a bottom rad they could part with?????

about it today really, to much time fking about for parts and cleaning lol. least its done right though.......will update picks in the morning. cheers ricky for the help earlier too lad :peace:

cheers boys

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

somins not right with my front end for sure!! first iv miss placed the circlip retainers for the bars that go on the forks!!! and 2nd , all day iv been waying up if somein was pissed up the front, the wheel looked lop sided, to the right more!! if i center the top yoke the wheel looks off to one side and if i go round the front and center the wheel, the top yoke looks pissed!! wtf. somins not right!!!

i put new bearing and seals in befor fitting the wheel , im sure i drove them in as far as they d go, would this cause this?? although, i never had any trouble sliding either the forks through the yokes or the front axel through the bottoms either.

bad day all in all tbh, got fk all done. not happy.
