White Tyre Pen - Yay or nay?

Post by ninja2 »

Hello all - question as the threat title really... I've been slowly getting some work to the wee VFR and am getting new boots fitted next week. With a mainly white bike + white wheels, I was wondering what people's thoughts were about using white tyre pen on the Bridgestone sidewall logo's? I'm yoyo-ing between thinking it would look cool, and thinking it looks really posey!

It's about personal taste to be honest, could you not try it and if you dont like it remove the white lettering?

I have and I don't give a funk what anyone else thinks as it supposed to look like a race rep and I think it looks good.
I saw it so I took it!

As said by others, it's a matter of personal taste!
I did it on mine, but only on the Pirelli word and not the tyre model, size, etc which in my opinion is a bit OTT!

I did the size and everything as well.

There is a symmetry (on the bridgestones at least) I don't think it looks too overt.

It does go "off white" quickly though so needs re applying after a few miles. Which is a pita.

I'm gonna go look see if I can find a white permanent marker and see if that works well I wanted to color the bridgestone as well, but as I'm in South Africa finding a specific thing like a white tyre marker is gonna be hell :x
