Got loads of deals to do over the weekend, what with the engine swapping, buying back my R6 seat conversion from the guy I sold it to over a year ago! including the drilled frame to take the seat mounts I made up. He's still got my custom under-tray too!

Hopefully will start getting some pictures up early next week, once I've made space in the garage for the build!

Pulled my neck out lifting the 2 400 engines into the car, out of the car, 600 engine into car out of car! While I'm waiting for the top half of my body to return to normal so I can organise the garage and take some photos...

Does anyone have a useful link to a 3EN2/3HE 400/600 build FAQ or similar?

Been told I can keep my 400 electrics and just disconnect something under the clocks to stop it over revving. Not sure if that can be confirmed?

Who told you that then ????

You've had a 3en2 before so you should know a thing or two about them .... the bit "you can unplug" is the speedo part of the restriction. That will limit the revs to 12,500 in every gear which is ok because the 600 will probably burst at that speed anyway. You don't need the exup either so you can ditch the servo and the electrics for it.

But here's what I'd do. Use a 600 loom, CDI and clocks to leave you with electrics and a CDI with the right redline and an MPH speedo and rev counter that suit the engine . ... you can buy the lot for £50 if you look about, then sell your loom, exup servo, exup cables, CDI clocks and downpipes to off set the cost.

I've agreed to do some more swapping next weekend, my 400 carbs etc and some beer tokens for the 600 Loom and CDI. I'll hunt down some clocks during the next few days. Thanks for the advice.

I had an MMax box on my last lot, I knew you could mod the clocks to achieve the same thing but never needed to look into it. Will take your advice, sounds better :)

- Taggy has kindly offered me a 3TJ conversion form an EN1, he has the machined carrier to align the chain with the standard 400 engine. Any chance you know if the 600 small sprocket sits in the same position as the 400, so the same machined carrier will work if I barter with him for the whole bag of bits?

Happy days! Thanks muchly as always!

Right, best go and PM Taggy and see if he can relieve me of my wages this month. It's an EN1 3TJ setup but will drop straight in from memory.

Yes - from memory it should.

You'll need to have a 120 profile front with that preferably on a 3.5" rim

I have a nice FZR600R (41mm) front end that'd fit straight in your 3EN2 yokes, complete with a lovely 3.5 x 17 front wheel just itching for a sticky 120 tyre. You can bolt your discs and calipers straight on
