No.
It is wrong.
Why would you do it to a perfectly good looking motorcycle?
Abuse a bandit or something else!

why not? . . . . some people like modifying bikes beyond aftermarket cans and crash bobbins, some like standard. . . each to their own. . .

Re: Streetfighter RVF/VFR
modifying bikes is one thing and I am down with that. Modifiying for no actual improvement is just wrong.
In my entirely personal opinion I think that modifying bikes is about mkaing them work better. They are machines and can always be improved mechanically - some more than others. A pointy tail, fewer fairing panels and wank headlights is not really an improvement is it?
If you want to modify stuff to make it "look better"...then get a bunch of flowers and a vase and knock yourself out

I dont tink i would be able to securely fasten a bunch of flowers and a vase to the bike but cheers for the thought anyway.CMSMJ1 wrote:modifying bikes is one thing and I am down with that. Modifiying for no actual improvement is just wrong.

It depends what level you want to modify it. . . sum fighters are just renthals, tail and a set of spots which I dont think is great but maybe thats all they wanted . . . then others go more and fit single siders to blades, turbos, NOS, whatever, the options are endless. . . it depends what level you want to go to. . .
Yeah some fighters are 'A pointy tail, fewer fairing panels and wank headlights' but loads are more performance upgrades. depends on the builder.
Im just about to buy an aftermarket ECU and give a go at turning the vfr injection, thats performance.
some people like them, some dont. . . each to their own as i said

is that a wacking great skull on your headlights or am i just hallucinating!!! ....genius!!
Its bikes like this that will make my re-style look half decent when i get going on completely new designed bodywork...in a few years at this rate!!
Its not my cup of tea but its interesting to see how people presonalise their bike. it makes life and riding more interesting and diverse, if only for that second look or rised smile when it comes flying past you!!!
