Hi all, I have just baught a NC21 for £699, only 18500km on the clock.

There not restricted. That model of NC21 was made exclusivley for motorcycle training schools in Japan.
They are ok, there a cross between a normal faired NC21 and the naked NC21Z but it has more upright handlebars to make it easy to learn to ride on
The suffer from same problems as other VFR's (bad regulator and charging system) apart from that there fairly bullet proof

I also have a VFR400K in a similar colour scheme to yours I think it a great bike with the handling and performance of a sports bike but a sensible riding position and a centre stand.Yours does look nice and clean and tidy in your pictures.Your evhaust system does not look to be the original and also the raised clip-on handlebars should be mounted on top of the top yoke and not under it.The previous owner has probably done that in order to facilitate the fitting of the fairing. The top of the forks should be a couple of inches higher than the top yoke so the bars can be fitted. On your bike the top of the forks seem flush with the top yoke. This could mean that the geometry is all wrong and it could mean that the brake hoses and the speedo cable are being stretched at full lock to reach the front wheel

I'm planning to remove the Bikini fairing. Thanks for informing me about the forks, I shall check for those problems at full lock when I get it, if necessary I shall move the forks upwards. Saying that, I might just move them up anyway so I can fit the handle bars correctly.duncan wrote:I also have a VFR400K in a similar colour scheme to yours I think it a great bike with the handling and performance of a sports bike but a sensible riding position and a centre stand.Yours does look nice and clean and tidy in your pictures.Your evhaust system does not look to be the original and also the raised clip-on handlebars should be mounted on top of the top yoke and not under it.The previous owner has probably done that in order to facilitate the fitting of the fairing.

Also do you have any pictures of your bike? I would be quite interested in seeing it.

You say'when I get it'.Does this mean that you spent all that money on a bike that you had not previously seen in the flesh and inspected? Oh the wonders of Ebay
