New Bandit owner

Post by Speedy »

Hello fellow Bandits.
Below is my first B4 and I've yet lots to learn about it; I'm hoping that here will be a good place to do that! :)
This section of the 400GB forum is looking quite empty at the mo, but hopefully in time it'll become a place of reference for all GSF400 owners! 8-)

Questions: Does anyone know of any model identifying guides for these Bandits? How many are there?
I'm still not sure which one mine is! It's supposedly a 1993 model, which had a black (or maybe grey) frame before it was resprayed in red! Engine# starts with K707 and chassis# with GK75A...
Can anyone shed any light on this, just by looking at the photo :?:

Image

It needs a fair bit of TLC and I'll start off by giving it a decent bath; then it's on with getting rid of that red...
Will report back soon...
Cheers all. :)

<sarc on> Wow, it's really busy in here. </sarc off> :D
I thought the RVF400 was a rare bike, but it seems the Bandit4 is even more! Does anyone else owns one of these :?:

Anyways, might aswell reply to my own post.
Been dismantling the bike to get it ready for a respray; took a load of photos and will keep a further record of this refurb and post further developments on the Graphis & Style section.
If anyone's out there, do check it out... 8-)

That banditalley site is ok, but as I'm a 400GB devotee, I shall continue to try and enrich this forum's Bandits section! :)

Cool! 8-) Do they share the same engine, do you know?
Am just about to go start a topic on the refurb I've been doing, so do pay the graphics & style a visit. :)

YAY, I found other gk75a's. What a relief. Mines apperently a 1990 model but not sure becuases its only a declaration date on the V5. In response to the question about diffrent models of 75A's, the only models of 75a's i know are the V and K models Mines a K. I know that The V Stands for Variable valves. But i dunno what K stands for. Anyone care in enlighten me???
