Hi Tanuki the Dyna coil bodies are a little bit bigger then the oem ones but bolt up to the same diameter spacing which makes them an ease to fit. I had to make some longer alloy spacers to lift the coils from the frame 5mm or so. The coils are 3ohm not 5ohm as I quoted before. The std plug end can be kept and new HT lead was used.

The difference you get is they are a stronger spark about 40,000 volts, which leads to a better combustion and slight difference in throttle response could be felt as well.

Well here it is ready for Anglesea, just needs a quick wash, chain lube and the application of some PB stickers.

Started work chopping the ZXR rad about but really can't do much more than this until I actually get the RVF forks fitted.

Still at least I can get the hole cut and sealed and the brackets mounted so that it will just bolt into place once the forks are sorted.

bit more work done on the rad today, the hole has now been enlarged to I think the right size for the ramair scoop although I wont really know until I offer it up with the existing rad removed and I cant be arsed with doing that until I fit the RVF front end.

oh and filled the holes in the side with Epoxy...this will do for now to make it water tight so I can see if it fouls the front wheel when I brake.

Thats it for a while now, until I get my yokes back, then I'll post some more stuff when fitting the front end, my new exhaust sytem and the ZXR rad.

here she is ready for Anglesea next Friday

Do you know which coils on the dyna site you used?

Looking good tanuki, hope you have fun at Anglesea. From what ive heard its a really good circuit.

Good work, im quite liking the look of the bike. Have you run it with the bigger rad, im about to fit one to my GSXR4.

Haven't even tried yet.

Once I've fitted the RVF front end and my new system I will then be able to see if the will be enough clearance between the rad and the front tyre, the rad will fit I know that but it if the tyre touches under hard breaking will be the key, if it wasn't for the ram air it would be fine.

We'll see, the system will be here Tuesday and all going well my yokes will be done for next weekend but between then and now I have a trackday at anglesea.

Hi Yak,

The coils are the DC1-3 dual output 3 Ohm mini series.
