stud bolts

ok just got the bike back on the road,after the engine was done,i know find i'm minus 2 stud bolts and nuts.Q.can i go to a local engineer and have these bolts made up? (there 6x22) or do i have to order some?

For the sake of a few pence, I'd be tempted to order replacements from Honda.

Where exactly are the missing studs and nuts from?

exhaust collar,my "mate" who did my engine swap for me 4got to do those up...

If they're the same as on my 1995 Super Four, the studs cost buttons but the chrome nuts cost £3 each, or thereabouts.

Of course, you could just order the studs, then pop down to the Nut & Bolt Shop and get some brass nuts to fit them!

yep stud bolts cost 86 pence,hope i can get them b4 sundays ride out.

So your mate 'forgot' to put in two of the eight studs? I find that hard to believe. Maybe he couldn't get them in? Maybe there are some broken-off pieces of stud waiting there in the engine block? Worth while asking.
You may have to take the exhaust off to fit the new studs. You may have to change the exhaust gaskets too.

It's worthwhile replacing with the proper covered nuts and using a bit of Copaslip. These things rust up like hell By bets are on there being broken studs in there too.

When I spoke to 27cb1er on Sunday he told me that the studs were still there, just the bolts had fallen off. Miraculously the bolts had fallen in a sort of tray on the bike so he hadn't lost them either!
