Nc35 carb jetting help please

Right I have read through the brilliant thread on carb jetting so I thought I would have a go on my nc35 as I am going to do the valve clearances at the same time.
First question I have checked my main jets , the fronts are 110k and the rears are 108k I am running a blue flame can do what jets should i be using and where is the best place to buy them from?
Also is the spacing of the neadles required on my bike and also the drilling job?

Any input on this would be appreciated!

You should have 110's all round with a end can, if the midrange is weak then try an extra 0.5mm washer on the needles. Dont drill the slides on a 35!!

Yer i would go for 110's all round as DM says, but i would try without the washer first, i had the extra 0.5mm washer in mine and it made the bike rich under 6k, thats not to say your carbs wouldn't run better with the extra washer. I found that the HRC slide springs made the pick up much crisper.

Is it worth getting done new jets for the rears then as it is not a big increase in size and the fronts are already 110? Why are the nc30 jets so much bigger?

Yer i would go 110's all round for a start point. To get it set 100% It would be well worth getting it on a dyno, and set by someone that knows these V4's.
The 30 carbs run bigger jets as the bellmounth throats are larger than the 35 ones.

110 all round is a good starting point,
i have learnt alot over the last few weeks about carbs and setting up.

how does it run now ? good or lacking ?

if good and strong then 110 allround should suffice. keep airscrew settings at factory.

if lacking around 5 - 7k make sure the float levels are set and correct.

if stuttery up top after 8k in the higher gears, then 112 allround and try again

Well the bike seems to run fine, I just thought I would give the carbs a inspection and clean because I had taken them off to do the valve clearances. I should maybe then just fit the 110 jets and leave the rest alone?

if its fine, i would leave well alone, however 110 allround i think is prudent. just dont be tempted to change with anything else if the bikes ok.

I have an ethos half system on my nc35 which I tried with 110's and an extra washer. The top end was good but too rich in the midrange.
I then put in some hrc springs from Rick Oliver and took out the extra washer and it felt so much better.
So in summary, 110's and rick Oliver springs is a good combo. But you probably got that message already

If anything the springs will have richened up your midrange meaning you were lean beforehand.
