Hi,

I've put a deposit down on this bike
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 522wt_1139

but ive been getting some background on the seller i noticed that he's bought tonnes of repair parts and this bike has had a load of work that he hasn't told me about
check out his feedback
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... tForOthers

Whole new fairing set and seats to name a few :O Does this mean that it was probably a scrapper that he has restored and if so should I try and get my deposit back as it's been missold

Thanks guys.

What were you expecting?

it is not standard in any way, shape or form.

Depends on whether you asked the questions or not..

Random thing is that it looks to have MC28 fork bottoms..nice ;)

hmmm,

nothing appears to be suspisious,

new seats new fairings, de ristriction washers, manuals and speedo cover,

and the new exhaust he mentions in his listing?

id say its been dropped & slide on the left hand side

OR

the chain snapped damaged the speedo drive and sprocket cover, trashed the can, smashed the seat panel and damaged the seats, but if it were to do so, i dont think the rider would be in good condition,

go look at it, ask lots of questions, check for scratches and marks on the LHS handle bar is straight etc.

as tony said there are better ncs out there for that money, and as i said earlier about the Repsols it seemed i was right to a degree, fiberglass fairing cheap as you can see from the price he paid, not saying they are crap but they arnt original so dont think your getting a good deal on the body work id sooner by one with worn and scratch original panels over fiberglass.

never buy a bike on its looks, buy it because its mechanically sound.

there the wrong way round mark,

the owner or person thats repaired or replaced them, has fitted them oposite so the caliper shows the NISSIN logo.

I cant see how the discs and calipers would line up if they were back to front.

Those Chinese fairings are made from ABS and dont actually look too bad in the flesh. They are obviously not as good as oem but are not as bad as some people make out. The bodywork will obviously affect the value of the bike though, so no way is it worth anything near his asking price.

Personally I'd get back my deposit and wait for a bike to come up on here for sale, chances you'll be able to trace it's history and it would've probably been well looked after.

they are pointy calipers too - firestorm ones? are they not?

The little rectangle alloy tab on the fork looks inside out, but am sure they are not NC30 bottoms.

@ tom - if you don't desperately need this now, then if you can back out...do it.

for £1500 youll get a lovely bike and after a bit of hanging about on here you'll see what is good, what is not and just what a good idea getting an NC30 is!
