the other bright side is your efforts will eventually pay off again..

also just a random observation but you guys have some ridiculously large licence plates! i mean...wow! baby got back! lol

That's the legal size - ridiculous to be honest. I don't want to risk a smaller plate as it's (I think) a 3 points for your licence.

Bearing in mind I could get up to 8 points for driving without due care and attention at the time of the accident, something I don't need lol.

Cheers for the warm wishes guys

I'll try and get some parts pictures up etc later on.

Peter, did you have the bump somewhere between Beverly and Howden? Can't remember but I think I passed you at the side of the road (didn't stop as I was in the lorry)

I crashed just coming out of Bishop Burton on the A1079 going towards Hull yeh on 21st October

I was lying in the middle of the road for a bit

There were loads of people about too - the people behind were from an accident scene team! The elderly couple in the mondeo were literally the loveliest people ever. The copper wasn't bad either to be honest.

Small world ay!

So the bike is currently being checked for straightness.

Good news is that it's all systems go! As I basically stopped the thing on it's nose before impact and then went over the bike didn't impact at any pace so the rebuild can begin very soon.

My castrol decals arrived the other day too. I'll get some pictures of parts when I get home for Christmas as chief mechanic dad is doing the work there as we have a garage.

Some more pictures for your viewing pleasure.

My mother was not best pleased that the alignment was done in the kitchen either.

Hey, sorry to hear you pranged your bike, but glad you are okay ;)
Top man with the bike in the kitchen
I think it's the best place for a bike, nice and warm and near the kettle

Hope you get it all sorted soon, looked the dogs before the prang, will you keep that fairing in that colour?
An NC is for life, not just for Christmas!

Not a great deal of progress since I last posted; my dad's ST2 has taken preference - carbon fibre everywhere ha.

Anyway, the wheels have come off and been powdercoated then put back on the bike.

I've de-rusted the tank and sealed the inside - nasty job, my hands are just recovering from the chemicals!

Since the picture was taken the swingarm bearing has been taken out and replaced, plenty of gravel and crap in there too.

Next task is to get the tank resprayed along with the other panels and get a new exhaust on after the rear subframe, as the other one was mullered.

The aim is to make it to the MotoGP in mid-June, potentially quite ambitious!

Here are some pictures anyways.

The bike is being done all white with castrol graphics - always wanted it white! Also, I had no idea where that fairing was from so I couldn't replace it sadly.

It was a refurb of the standard parts front and back by MCT - made a massive difference to the whole bike.

More progress this weekend, cheers Dad! He's been a busy bee without me even knowing. The suspension was whipped off and cleaned at the back, replacement rear subframe put on, new chain and sprockets and identified where the small oil leak was coming from - loose oil filter. Just one picture sent today though.

All parts are off to paint now, some need some fibreglass repair but only a little. Aim of getting to the MotoGP at silverstone is looking likely! Definitely not counting my chickens though....

Will be booking a trackday at brands too in June I hope!
