150/70 tire on the rear of an NC35
Shop just called and said the replacement in the 60 series tire will be a while. They can't find anything else in stock with the factory height. Is running a 70 series on the back a workable solution?
I'm kind of worried about it fouling up something, and obviously handling concerns as well. Finding the right size in the states is proving to be a difficult task. I'm also stuck with getting it from the same service shop, as I am getting a free replacement, though they have called other vendors in the area to no avail.

Michelin Pilot Road 2's I think, whichever ones are the dual compound road biased tires they make. (i.e. not the 2CT's)

70 will give you 70% of 150 which will give you 120mm (4.7") of sidewall height vs 90mm (3.5") for the 60. So the difference will be about 1.2" . Maybe a 160/60 ?

Wow, thats a huge height difference. I don't think I want to go with something that drastic.
I have concerns about rubbing with the 160. I thought I saw that mentioned on the forum a few times.

try a supersport tyre, 180/55/17.
pirelli dragon supercorsa pro's are a fantastic tyre, i run this on track and it dosn't make any real difference to the handleing appart from it turns in a bit slower - but unless you are hangin your balls out on every corner you wont notice on the road

go a 160/60 rather than a 150/70.
Loads of guys use the 160's and are fine.
@ MO - cannot use a 180 and if you could it would ruin the handling.

they work perfectly fine. pluss you will ALWAYS get a 180 as it is a super sport tyre.CMSMJ1 wrote:
