What parts would you strip off a 2003 CBR600RR

I have a NC30. There is a CBR600RR being parted out locally. Just wondering which parts would be good to get while I have the chance. I'm for sure gonna grab the reg/rec and full fairings.

Front calipers - they'll bolt onto the nc30 with just some readily available adpater plates. Main benefit is they'll be in better condition being newer than the nc30 calipers.

Not much else worth nicking in my opinion!

what do you intend on grabbing the parts for? to fit to the nc30? if your thinking about the fairings you will also want the screen brace to suport the upper fairing. tail light, head light and mirrors. front master cyclinder to run with the calipers. you could get the tank cover but i never used this, i kept the original nc30 tank.

you could get the complete front end as in forks etc, then you wont need the caliper brackets and the front fender wil bolt straight on, other wise you can make the 600rr fender fit nc30 forks but it is a lot of work.

i will say now though it is a lot of work to fit 600rr fairings to an nc30 and it is a very personal thing to do. Some people will like it, some will be not so keen.

fuck the fairings! (as Pug says ;) )

Get the mechanical bits that you can use - forks and shock, front wheel and brakes.

fitting them to the bike is going to make it a far cooler machine than bodging (however well you do it) a pointy and long bodykit onto a small and stubby bike,

@ pug - yours looked alright, but still wrong! Great work and a lot of effort you put in though eh?

i take no offence. What i have done, some will like some wont. I have to say you do get some strange looks when a v4 rumble drives past but all they can see is what looks like a cbr 600 rr!

Thanks for the suggestions. My fairings are in rough shape and I like the 600 look. I will be getting everything with the fairings- headlight, seats... I didn't know the from end would be a direct swap. Do I need the triple tree as well or will the forks slide into my existing triple tree?
