Re: Suzuki bandit track bike
Hi,
Most B4 regulars fit a set of front springs and a B12 rear shock, it will lift the rear a little.
Regards the wheels you can stick with standard and run 110/70/17, 150/60/17 as a good tyre say a BT090 will be better than the B4 can handle. If you really want to fit 120/160 then late gsxr400 wheels can be fitted but you need the complete rear including the swingarm, ive a 73a sp rear in my B4 and the gsxr rear works well as it is a little shorter than stock.

Re: Suzuki bandit track bike
what about the front wheel will the gsxr400 fit that and is it a 120 front??
Also the tyres you recommend are they sticky for the track as i have done track days on a gsxr600 etc and am a confident rider when it comes to the track, this bike purley is for fun! So im really up for some decent tyres to get the best grip i can.

Re: Suzuki bandit track bike
Hi dan,
Earlier gsxr had 110 front as bandit and 18" rear 150/60. The late gsxr had 3.5" front and ran a 120/60/17 plus a 4.5" 160/60/17 rear as apposed to the bandit 4" 150/70/17. If you want to stay with the stock rims you can get plenty of sticky stuff in 110/70 and 150/60, bt090's are good, the new bt003 are available and i think you can even get the michelins in these sizes. \the 090's are quicker than the bandit is capable of.
Ive ran my B4 plenty of times on TD's and it ties its self in knots and decks out before you have any problems with the tyres. Best sort the front, fit the b12 shock then get rid of the highly dangerous centre stand.
And if you fit the 3.5" front ya discs/axel will fit ok. rear axle is larger on the gixer wheel.
