NC30 against NC35
I know it has been done to death by now, but what do you think about them?
I can only say from my own bikes, but this is my view.
NC35
Unpainted engine and more stick on decals are poor.
Power fades at upper revs in high gears.
More room
More stable
Sharper brakes
Removable seat squab for battery access is good.
NC30 UK
Better top end.
Looks are more appealing.
Cheaper.
Seem to ride more tight ?
What do you all think.
Dave. Undecided

Re: NC30 against NC35
Pretty much agree with that dave, every 30 ive had has had a great top end compared to a standard 35. I prefer the 30 gearbox with long 1st gear
Handling, there much of the same really although i like the RVF's bulkier feel.
30's look great with 18" rears
35's look drop dead stunning, and that was the clincer for me, vain i know

Re: NC30 against NC35
Yep agree with most of that, but the two RVF's ive ridden weren't more stable than any of my 30's. Also riding the RVF i felt like i was virtually sat over the front end with my head over the screen.
I prefer the 30 all round but i wouldnt say no to a mint RVF though

Re: NC30 against NC35
RVF = lower, closer to bars yet wider around the tank. Its got a smoother bottom end and feels a bit plastic.
NC30 = far more solid all round, classic looks, nicer to ride (well a good one is anyway)
After owning 10 or more NC30's and 3 RVF's i personally think the NC30 is a better built bike and nicer and more rewarding to work on. i also think a well serviced NC30 suspension setup and a good shock feels better poised and planted on the road too.
I cant see the RVF being a classic in 30 years time, i think the NC30 will always be where its at, however the more updated looks of the RVF appeal to many and the vast majority.
Not saying the RVF is bad, far from it, doing the carbs is easier and some jobs are far more accessible due to the design. plastics are crap though on the rear.

I would buy a mint early type NC35 [white rvf decal] if I found one, although dealers are asking loads of money for them [over £4000?]ibby4585 wrote:.

Re: NC30 against NC35
NC35 suspension is pretty poor despite stiffer spring rate. The dampening is rubbish. NC30 with stiffer springs is much better.
NC35 tail is heaps better, NC30 front cowl looks pretty cool with the round lights.
NC35 tank is wider and more comfortable.
Despite manufacturers figures (to comply with law), power is actually just the same.
Both feel the same bike, just a little different.

Re: NC30 against NC35
yehhh my mates say i have high standards and i've been on top of both so they both have something going for them
. i have to agree with Drunkn, really like the tall 1st gear on the 30 as well as the 18" rear. but i feel my RVF is nicer to look at, feels better underneath me plus has a better resale value if ever it should come to that
