Lower radiator repair

Post by mikey65 »

Hi
I have started to break down my NC30 1989. I have removed the 2 radiators the top on is in great nick but the lower rad looks fine it is working ok but when i start to clean it up the fins in one corner are falling off so much so that there is a hole about the size of a 10 pence peice. Can i get the finns replaced or is it just worth looking out for one in better condition. Would anyone know of a radiator repair shop ????? any advice would be great.

I looked for one in decent condition for ages, but in my experience I didn't find any that were in better condition than the totally shagged one I already had. In the end I got it reconditioned (all fins replaced and new core).

But that was in Derbyshire, not sure if it's too far from you?

Cheers thought you could do that. The rad is over 20 years old but most of it is in good nick . How much did it cost you and how repaired it.

It was these guys:

They re-cored it and put in completely new fins. I'll have to check the price.
