NC23 Regulator/Rectifier plug burnt, and melted
Hi, this is my first post. I purchased cbr400rr month ago, and i'm currently installing body kit form Tyga, so i have to relocate some electrical components. While moving regulator, one of the wires fall out, so i had to disassemble it. I hardly got it apart, and I noticed that plastic plug is burnt, and melted.
I have two questions
-have i accidentally burned somthing, or is this normal wear?
, before that motor worked normally
-I need new plastic plug, can i get it in any electronic store?
ill post some pictures tomorrow

Hi jetam, possibility your reg is about to go the way of the dodo if it has not done already, get it checked. The burnt wiring and plug should be replaced your best bet is to see someone who can sort it properly as any bodging will just lead to more problems.
BTW my mates RC30 which is the nicest cleanest example you could find anywhere has just had the same problem, and his reg was working fine. Although he did tell me it was a common RC fault due to a localised build up of heat and a repair kit to stop this was available from David Silver.
