NC30 Service times.

Hi Guys,

I would just like to know what is the service interval for a NC30? If possible in KM?
Been checking the net and what iv seen its like every 10 000km? Sounds a bit much?

My advice is to change the oil as soon as the gear changes get sloppy.

There is no harm in being over caring. 25£ for new oil every 10k isn't that excessive.

Sorry about that wasn't too clear I was thinking to myself
that 10k is too far apart for service intervals, 5k sounds about
right. I think il rather just keep them close to each other will try
and do it myself the servicing I'm sure it couldn't be that hard to do
... hopefully.

Oil isn't that expensive here in CT just the spark plugs and labour to do the
job is a bit pricey.

Change the oil and filter yourself. It's an easy job to do.

Haynes manual says oil and filter every 12,000 km or 12 months.

I would advise getting a haynes manual, very usefull for home maintenance

Service is such a vague word, it really holds no meaning but $$$ for a mechanic. It is also no different for an NC30 than other bikes with exception of the cam chain.

Change the oil every 5-10k, replace the air filter when it's dirty, plugs are good for at least 20k or if it starts running rough, clean the carbs out if you don't like how it runs, do the valve clearances every 30k or so (probably won't even need adjustment)... anything else just fix it if it needs replacing, breaks or wears out. I'd say that's a rough definition of 'servicing' for an NC30. Plugs and all this stuff are straight forward to do yourself if you have a manual or have managed to find this website :) . No need to take to a mechanic.
