Re: Interesting airbox idea
That seems like a quite easy mod.
I wonder if (after properly jetted) it would actually increase hp at all? Anyone have access to a dyno, a spare airbox lid and time to waste to find the jetting setup to sort out if it does any good?

What a joke, you'd never get that to run properly.
These things need the snorkel big time or a carefully done HRC setup.

Re: Interesting airbox idea
yeah im not so sure that would be a good thing to do to your air box, you may as well just take it off all together, as the back piece isent realy doing a lot, you need the air to be funneled in so you get a smooth flow, that air box would just cause turbulence under the tank which is not what you want. if it were that simple im sure honda would have just done that instead of spending time and money developing a proper performance air box for there race bikes?

I don't run a lid at all in my airbox. The tank is the cover. It runs just lovely (after a lot of fucking about)
