braking problem
hi.got a problem with my brakes.about finished building from rolling chassie and have come to bleed the brakes but having some problems.every thing is as standard on my tri arm except the hoses which are braided.the fluid is running through fine and getting all the bubbles out with no problem but theres no pressure building up to move the calipers and the lever just goes straight to the bar.tried doing just one line from master cylinder to one caliper but still no joy.tried a nother master cylinder and both hoses seperate on both calipers but just get the same results.any fault finding tips or ideas.no leaks that i can tell from anywhere.i have a srad that works that i bled fine.have tried the master cylinder off the cbr on the srad and worked fine so i know its not that.dont know how old the hoses are on the cbr but im assuming braided last a lifetime?any help or hint would be greatly recieved.cheers

Re: braking problem
From what youve said in your first post youve got air in somwhere try reverse bleeding the system ie fluid in at brake caliper end
or you could try tying back the leaver for a night to see if anymore air can come out

Re: braking problem
I had a similar problem when I fitted braided lines on my nc30 years ago. Ive always remembered what i was told by a memeber on here which seemed to solve it.
here we go:
1. Take the lid completly off the fluid resovoir and fill almost to the top.
2. Tie the brake lever back to the bar using some rope etc.
3. Use a large sergical syringe (you can get them on boots for about £2) and a peice of bleeding hose and draw the fluid slowly through.
by doing it this way you are pulling the air out rather than trying to push it out.
I only had to do it twice and a large amount of air came out.
Braided lines are a much smaller internal diameter so work on a higher pressure, in other words a small bit of air could be a big lose in pressure.
give it a go and let me know how you get on.
I might still have a guide in pictures somewhere if you need it.
