Re: r6 blue dots on 3tj
If i remember right, they fit the 3en1's directly as they are 100mm? spacing the 3tj are 83?, so you would need to put adapter plates to make them fit a tj. Normal dics are fine but a properly set up and matched (disc to pad) standard set with braided lines are just as good i recon! you can use other m/c's as well.

Re: r6 blue dots on 3tj
It's untrue.
Blue spot calipers have a mounting bolt spacing of 100mm the 3TJ is 83 ... or 85 mm.
Sooo, you want to stop a bit quicker huh ???
The TJ calipers aren't bad but they need to be clean and fit HH pads. Make sure the discs are good. Fit braided hoses if you have the rubber ones. You could fit a radial master cylinder from a newer bike and lastly renew the brake fluid.

Actually Alex that brings me to the second point about better brakes ...
Really you need a good suspession setup to take advantage of better brakes. 400's need to hold corner speed to keep their momentum up, so once you've done the above mods thats really all you need.

Re: r6 blue dots on 3tj
you can put blue spot calipers on a 3tj using some nk racing caliper hangers which were about 60 quid when i bought mine.the hangers are for the rd350 ypvs f2 but fit the 3tj.youcan either get hangers so you can fit gsxr tockicos or the r1 calipers depending on which hangers you go for.if i was putting the r1 calipers on id go for a set of the gold coloured ones as they apparently have titanium pistons in though ive never looked at a pair and are supposed to be a bit better than he blue ones.just remeber that you will need a master cylinder to match which will also mean that your brake hoses probably wont fit so youll need some new hoses too!if your on a budget the standard calipers are good if theyre in good nick with decent pads.im sure the 3tj uses the same 5/8ths master cylinder as the early r1s/yzf750s and in my experience theyre crap, a decent brembo master cylinder can be picked up for 90 quid or so on e-bay if youre prepared to wait a bit, though dont be tempted to to go for the bigger 19/20mm ones as they tend to not have much feel with the 3tj/r1 blue spots as the 16/18mm.my yzf750/1000 hybrid had blue spots and a 16/18mm master cylinder and had all the power you could use.hope this helps
