Re: My Experiance With the Tyga Performance T9 Body Kit
Hi Paul, according to my Haynes the wiring is the same for the J and K models, would it be possible for you to get pictures of the wiring in your project bike so we can compare?tygapaul wrote:Can we get some feedback on the differences in the wiring between the 1989 and the 1988 models or any differences so I can update the fititng instructions etc. We are not drilling the front hole on the upper on future kits just in case the position is not bang on in every case. If anybody has a rear left lower stay near the side stand, we may modify the kit to make this area simpler, though if you remove the stock stay and fit ours, it should all fit tick-adee-boo!
A couple other notes and reminders about differences:
- Air ducts/consoles holes should be drilled differently for J and K models
- The front stay needs a nut as well as a bolt (a thread in the stay itself would be much more handy

- Rear lights might need checking as the wiring was the wrong way round in my case
I can't think of other things at the moment. Feel free to reply to this or PM me if you need.
Will do Gav, might be a while until I get the money to paint it but when I do you'll have pictures e-mailed to you.Gavin jap4 wrote:good to hear all this feedback guys. If you get your kits from me please feel free to call me anytime about any problems you are having as I am here to help to make sure all problems are solved and feedback is passed onto to Paul at TYGA.
Rob dont forget to send me pics of the bike when its finished as looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Thank you both for taking the time to write this post, I am thinking of getting the Tyga kit and this has been a very informative post.
It is really nice to get honest free back from a customer with they just ranting and raving and to get such honest feedback from the manufacturer is unheard of.

hi i'm currently installing T9 body kit, and i have one question ... do you have to relocate the fuse on the right side to, becouse fairing always pops out of where it fits into the tank?

One of you guys might be able to help me with my kit, came with the bike although half fitted half not.
Got these two bits, wonder where they go. Guessing the plastic one with the hole in brings the fuel tank up to line up with seat to sort out the gap. Although not sure, no idea what the foam bits for.

Re: My Experiance With the Tyga Performance T9 Body Kit
Just to be clear, the photo and components are from our NC30 first generation RC211V kit not the NC23 one which doesn't relocate the fuel tank. The nylon block is to lift the rear of the NC30 fuel tank and hold it firm now that the frame spars are not in contact. The foam block goes between the front tank rubber cup and the rubber because the rubber needs slight repostioning due to the rear of the tank being lifted. Full instructions are on our website under techincal help, fitting instructions.

Re: My Experiance With the Tyga Performance T9 Body Kit
Hi everyone I just thought I would update this thread with some new information, I took the bike to my local MOT place to have it checked out for its MOT (nice chap does it for nothing), and it will fail the MOT because the Tyga kit makes the headlights way to low, to quote the MOT tester said "off the scale, low", so not good, I'm going to see if I can tweak them to get them higher up but the small adjustment that can be had by how it is mounted into the fairing is not enough. To make things worse this is with a crappy rear shock, if I were to for example get a Graeme France CBR600 shock and linkage to raise the rear the headlights would be even lower.
If you plan on fitting this kit make sure you fit it so that the beam is as high as possible, as it's easier to adjust downward than upward. Other than that everything is fine.
