rvf400 wheels

Post by raskol » Mon Mar 14, 2011 10:58 pm

I've just been quoted au$1000 for a set of secondhand rvf400 wheels from a wreckers.

Delkevic appear to have discontinued the rvf range.

Dymag new or used out of my price range.

Any other options out there?

Cheers,
Greg

That is a bit pricey.

You could fit a vfr400 18" rim, much cheaper, you can still get good road rubber for them, it will raise the rear ride height nicely (if not already done) and will also make the bike look better IMO! They usually sell for around AUD$150.

The rvf rears usually sell for about AUD$450. Try RB Racing (Sydney) for prices and availability, they're good to deal with. http://www.rbimports.com.au

Southern Cross Sports (Melbourne) will have rvf rears available (site is down, but you could contact them through the ebay store): http://stores.ebay.com.au/Southern-Cross-Sports

Sumoto in Melbourne also stock a lot of second hand parts: www.sumoto.com.au/

The front wheel is the same as many other hondas, they usually sell for around AUD$200. A search should get you a list of bikes that use the same fitment.

Another Aussie member found it cheaper to source and ship wheels from the UK....

Since you're in NSW you can also try Bike Parts Sydney. They've always come up with the goods whenever I've called up and requested anything.

Maybe also try this guy and see if he still has this --> http://cgi.ebay.com.au/_W0QQcmdZViewIte ... 0703377894
