Nc35 forks on an Nc30..
Hi,
This is my first post on here and i've been scrolling through the forums for ages looking for advice on a front fork conversion for my nc30. Haven't really found what i'm looking for and am a bit of novice when it comes to mechanics but have got some friends that are willing to help out and are lot more mechanically minded than myself.
Basically i've been looking at a set of nc35 forks but don't really know what else is involved in terms of fitting them to my NC30? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated?? what else am i going to need other than the forks?? how simple is it , is it a straight swap?? do i need a conversion kit??? etc.
please help
regards,
scotty

Howdo Scotty,
Welcome to the forum,
YOu need a fitting kit that is made by a forum member Rick Oliver. You need the forks and yokes and brakes as the NC30 wheel is the same.
Simple to do, but not with much performance effect..looks nice though

Re: Nc35 forks on an Nc30..
ahh ok thanks for the rapid reply
,
so i need the forks, yokes, and brakes off the nc35 and a fitting kit from rick oliver..
yeah from what i had been reading the performance isn't improved but im currently rebuilding my nc30 after being taken out by a taxi driver just over a year ago
, a lot of cosmetic damage and the front end took the full force of the impact (20mph'ish). Have had some sort of problem with the front end ever since and can't quite figure it out, ive tried describing it to people but find it hard to put across in words what is actually happening
.. haven't ridden her in at least 10-12 months but she still starts on the button every time, forks look straight and true but havent taken them off yet to check them properly?? a friend suggested it could be the head bearings or something but im not sure??
My plan was to just replace the whole front end?? Do you think that’d work??
Thanks for your help,
scotty

I bought a bike that had been in a front ender and found the frame was tweaked and wasted. Have you checked that all engine mounts are sold too - they can get spring if the frame flexes!
Have a mooch about and see some of the stuff on here...you'll be impressed and perhaps get some ideas about here to go with the bike,

, that really would break my heart..

.. just want to get her back on the road, ive got my car test coming up n i don't want to be stuck on 4 wheels - it's so boring, it's like torture...
any other help or advice would be appreciated
