i had a similar sort of problem turned out to be a bad frame earth id check these first, if they are fine and the problem persists id be looking at your charging system possible reg/rec failure.

there are more knowledgeable people on here than me im sure they will be along to help you out in the mean time do a search for reg/rec problems on this forum im sure you will turn up some helpful info

3 things to check.

Battery
Coil packs
And rectifier/regulator.

My guess is the rectifier has had it. Check the connectors into it and see if they have burnt out or corroded.

Then give the battery a good charge and test.

Maybe that your battery is screwed too.

Could be earth strap too

Sounds like what happened to me when my Reg/Reg failed.

I'd get it to a guy who can check the whole electric system.
