Air Cleaner Silencer??

On one of my random looks through the fiche for the nc29 I happened upon this part 17300MV4000, shown on this page as number 11 http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cbr400rrr-nc ... t/F17.html

I have had my bike apart a few times and cant remember seeing this part, from its position it looks like it fits in the square on the rubber mat, possibly. Has anyone got this part and can they tell me anything about it please?

I think its in the frame as i remember theres a rubber bung type of thing in there. Yours will have one as it was hard work trying to get mine out when i got the frame powdercoated.

Ahh, explains why I have never noticed it then. I was assuming that it went over the rubber mat as I remembered it had square shape at the front. I will take a peek next time the bikes in bits.
