headlight not working
hi all i just got a rvf and the headlight was working but when i turned the steering from lock to lock the front lights went off, so i checked everything fuses all conectors and bulbs but couldnt find anything, but now they dont work at all the only thing i can think it may be it the relay that sits behind the clocks under a rubber hood would this possibly be shot or could it be something else, i took the rear subframe off other day could it be a conection there or a earth? any help much apreciated.

Re: headlight not working
If the lights turned off because of you moving the bars then it's got to be a plug around that area which isn't connected, or a wire that may have snapped. Other than that all I can suggest is that you check the fusebox and, yes, the relay.

Re: headlight not working
Is it just low beam or high and low that don't work?

Re: headlight not working
Check the loom from the hi / low beam switch where it comes from the bars into the loom.
Also check the battery is being charged at aprox 14volts. Put a multi meter accross it with the engine running and rev it a bit. If the volyage goes to 16 the reg rec is knackered. That will cause a spike and can in turn burn out the headlight bulbs.
