1996 CBR600 shock

Post by vfr4 »

Hello,

I've found an Ohlins shock for a 96 CBR 600 in my shed... Does anyone know if it will fit an NC23/29?

Many thanks,
Al

For the NC29 - it needs to be CBR600f3 - 285mm eye to eye - with a long hose on the remote reservoir. You will need to file a small indentation in the 400’s wishbone to allow access one of the rebound screw (obvious when you put it in place)

I managed to install it just fine, and ground down the wishbone and it feels 10 times better... But how should the shock be set up for the weight of the 400 compared to the 6?

Oh and where did you mount the reservoir? Mines on the exhaust hanger, but it looks untidy.
I like the way it sits under the panel on a VFR.

Thanks, Tony.
