Hi everyone....

I got a K conversions rear fairing at a massively reduced price :) however i got the fairing and the seller forgot the shims.... :( After weeks waiting they have arrived but cant see how they would fit on?? just two metal bars with threaded holes either end? I have no instructions, so if anyone has any pics of a seat they have fitted with the raising shims or any advice on how these shims fit please let me know.....

Yeah i know...but the seat unit cost 50 quid and i've made some adjustments so that it will fit on and look good...its been strengthened up so it wont all fall to bits too....i think that the brackets i have are for something else....ie mounting the things you need to move not raising the seat like he says on his advert.....spoke to jdm modifications and they say that the shims are only an inch long and not 5'' like the ones i have......anyone who has some shims for raising the seat let me know lol....just gonna go see what im up against!!!

Hi all!
The shim should be one inch long and you have to put them, one hole is to fix at the frame and the other at the subframe. Im talking of the bottom fixation point off the subframe.
I hope you understand me.

I made my own out of some stainless. I just offered it all up worked out the ctrs and hole punched and drilled two suitable holes. I will try and get a picture up for you tonight but a simple job really you will need a couple of nuts bolts and washers too. I have been more than happy with my unit apart from the brake light always gives me an earth!
