Dare i ask how much the trip cost you petrol wise / ferry crossings ect? as i'd love to go visit the continent but i have no idea on how much it'd cost?

It cost me about £700-800 I thnk...I try not to think about that..lol It was worth it and I suppose the only reason I managed is that I got paid during the trip. Otherwise, would have been uber skint
ferries are cheap - £30 each way
Fuel..well, 4000miles is a lot of tanks of juice!!

Sounds like it was an awesome trip!
That campsite you stayed in in heidelberg was the same one that we stayed in. It was easy to find after a long hot day riding but thats about all I can say in favour of it.
