You are reading the posts but are ignoring them.

1: It sounds like your bike has a dodgy charging system so the battery is not being charged by the bike. When this system fails then the battery cannot keep the bike running and it starts to run badly.

2: not sorting it will cost you another new battery. It may also cause your battery to burst if overcharged and that will include acid and heat near your bollocks..not what you want is it?

3: I've offered to give you a hand..get your bike out, razz it down to Sheffield this afternoon and I'll sort it out. Am not doing owt right now...reading a book that will be finished soon..lol. I'll be in the garage later bleeding my race bikes brakes and also cleaning the carbs on my road bike.

so..come on man..you've been given the info, advice and requirements to get your bike sorted.

update:

just fitted the rear subframe back in place. and tried starting her up,, She wouldn't!, this is probably down to her being Flooded ? to get all the fairings(TYGA) off will take me ages, plus, dont i need a special tool toget the spark plugs out ?

Could there be a problem with my HT leads ? if one of them is faulty ? might it not spark up the spark plug etc ? and also leave me running on 3 ? cylinders when running the bike ?

Does any of this Battery/reg/regulator/electricity problems have anything to do with my bike Running like Sh*T the other day and back firing etc (even when it has Supposedly been sorted) in anyway. sorry about forgetting about previous posts, i dont understand the Bike and Mechanics as much as others :S sorry, i (WILL) learn though :D

I have a HAYNES,, no Multi Meter, although if its anything Electrical then my Grandad should as he's an Electrician lol.

I would love to burn down to Sheffield and get it sorted by a PRO, fully appreciated, but she wont even Start up ;(
and ive got Stupid Work in a few hours :(

I've sent you a PM..

Basically - the bike is a simple creature.

I'll put 50p on your regulator/rectifier being knackered and so the battery not getting charged.

It is an easy test so that can be eliminated easily.

If you have flooded it then your plugs might need to come out - 13mm deep socket and get the rear ones out in 5 minutes. Take a pic of them and stick it on here.

Also - send me some details of the dyno run, I'll call the dude or even drop in for a crack. If he cannot supply you the graph and the details of what he did then I would be wanting my money back.

Your HT leads will be fine, stop looking for further issues. It is pretty obvious that you have a bad battery and have flooded it. It is very common...so nothing to do apart from the same fix we have all done - new reg rec, new battery and learn to start it properly. With choke and NO throttle.

It is easily fixed..so have a read of the suggestions and go through them one at a time. Backfiring is the least of your worries.

right, ill forget about the backfiring for now.

btw as stated before, just bought a new battery yesterday, should i not try starting my bike up etc any more or it might knacker in the new battery ?

my next job for today is trying to get to these Spark plugs then.. do i not need a special Spark plug tool for the VFR ?

i saw the DYNO on the screen but obv (he had not ink) :? lol,

tomorrow i will give him a ring try and find out about the jet sizes and other carb related stuff, and see if i can ge thold of a dyno reading to show you all, atleast then you will all know my problems, rather than me telling you poorly them ;)

be interesting when the Plugs come out if they are Iridium or not, if they are not should i have Words ? or might he just put in ER9EH thinking then were Iridium.. when mine came out he was convinced mine were Iridium, i told him i thought the tip whould be really pointy and not square, but he said there al like that, only difference is the material or something,. i rememeber my Rs 125s iridium SPs to also say it on the plug lol,

When i get around to getting a Multi Meter how do i test it ? and what results am i looking for ?

im no mechanic or expert but im even gettin pissed off now...
you have been given a link to step by step instructions for testing the battery and reg/rec.. why you asking how to test the battery AGAIN.
men have offered to check your bike for you if you run it to them.
you have been told what tool you need to take the spark plugs out, and your asking AGAIN.

my advice is flog the thing and use your bycicle, just dont come on here asking how to fix aa puncture on ya pushbike...
everyone is willing to help but you aint listening to one word of advice that is being given.
GO BACK TO PAGE 1 AND READ THROUGH THIS THREAD PROPERLY....

Im sorry, if iv'e Pissed you off, the guys that are helping me have the patience, and thats all that matters to me. i appreciate their help, and some of the Previous posts might be out of date, for example i got a new battery so i thought this might of sorted out A problem, now my bikes flooded, so im asking about that,.
Sorry hardnut, im 21 and not had the most experience on Bike mechanics, give me a Computer and i can Fix that ;) or If you want me to make you any Cocktail i can ;) thats my little Expertise lol..

he's Fitted ER10EH ???? what are these compared to the ER9EH ??? are they okay ???
and im sure there not Iridium

No they r not iridium
I'm not an expert but er10eh is what ppl use in there track/ race bikes as the engines run hotter ?
He should had fitted 9. Not sure what difference 10's will make on a road bike tho

should i stick my old ER9EH in (by old i mean the last ones) there only 4 months old or something,,,

ive only changed ,y back 2 for now, can i have 2 back ones different to front ? 10 10 and 9 and 9ERH

Oops..

You really do need to get your money back. ER10s are a total bastard to start a bike on. I had some for my race bike but they were such a pain in the arse to start I swapped them back for ER9s. Never used them since.

So..visit the guy with your dad - get the right plugs - which are ER9EH and nothing else. Don't be fobbed off. He has fucked up and you'll never get ER10s to work in a road bike

The more we find out the more I am convinced the dyno person could not tell his own arsehole from a hole in the ground. :o
