I'm going to be after another 400 as soon as the RVF is up and running. I fancy buying a mint Seed coloured NC30. Preferably with black frame and black wheels. ;)

Yes there is without question going to be a "bandwagon" with 400's. i suspect also that good original NC30's are going to be sought after too.
Not seen this article yet due to the fact no one around here stocks it but looking forward to a good read.
As for 400's gathering more interest - deffo, i scanned an old ride article yesterday about a NC30 v V1 for josh on pb. its clear alot of big bike owners are feeling the lure of a fun bike once again, and next step to fun is 400cc.
lets be honest we all know that owning the underdog is great fun, its quick enough in the real world on real roads, cheap to run and great fun. makes alot of sense.

it would be good if one of the bike mags out there would do an arcticle on this site(400gb.com) about the bikes, owners, and the members showing the rest of the biking world how many people still own these 400's ;)

I have thought for a some time that the NC30 will go up in price over the coming years, as in some peoples eyes its the next best thing to a NSR 250, and since they have gone way way way up in price im sure interest will move to the 400's..

I also think the real world statement is so true, bikes these days are so fast that many riders feel so uninspired after a ride due to not even tapping into 25% of the potential of the machine where as at least with a 400 you know you have had a ride and can give it some...

A statement I have made before on this forum with some negativity I might add is regarding the current crop of bikes available to the general public and the "fun" factor.. I mean where is the RD350 for new riders these days?? it shore as hell isnt a Ninja 250 :sshh: I mean a bike that is 20 years older than its predecessor that offers 1/3 of the performance  .. No thanks

Will 400's be the next bike to own I would say yes and im sure there are folks now buying bikes up to restore for when that time comes just as has happened with the RD,CB750,NSR,Kettle etc etc etc....

We dont get quality small bikes anymore because everyone wants the latest and greatest sportsbikes, its supply and demand, that and the days of engineers calling the shots instead of the figure watching fat cats is long gone.

Even the build quality of my RVF still looks better than my plastic fantastic K7 gsxr.

My neighbour has a new blade and the quality on that thing is awful when sat next to my Viffer I know what you mean on that front..

I suppose I have my rose tinted specs on again :? ... I was chatting to a young lad up at Epping forest on the weekend that had a RS50 and wanted to get a bigger bike, he must have been about 17-18 his only option is to go with either the Kwak or Honda 250 if he wants the sportsbike look..... Or try and find a 20 odd year 400 that isnt a dog so he can do some proper sports riding and a few trackdays.. Insurance on the "new bred" of bikes is stupid and esp for someone that age it really isnt a option.. So is there not a market for a nice proper performance small capacity sportsbike???

Im sure we forget that there is still new riders coming into the sport (correct word??) and there chose of bikes is getting more and more limited esp if they wish to go down the sports bike route..

Where is the transition that I and im sure many of you had from 125/2T-400-600-600+ (THEN BACK TO 400!!!! ) these days??
