Exhaust badges. TSR related

Post by Drunkn Munky »

Now i remember some time ago, maybe on the old forum a thread about sourcing TSR badges. Does anyone remember this or weather they were just stickers or actual exhaust badges?

i'm guessing you're after the one that says 'the grand prix style'

i think TSR sell a metal based logo badge on their website with adhesive backing...sure you could rivet it maybe...

Three options I reckon Tony. Get Brooky to copy some adhesive ones. Ask Drew if he can obtain some.

And best chance ask Jas to try and get some, his brother lives in Japan I think.

Hold on!

Ive been thinking about this and my memory has come back, the thread i was on about was regarding Ethos badges, i belive it may have been rotster or gareth. And also i recall emailing TSR last year (my fucking memory these days!!) to which i was told they dont make that style anymore.

Does brooky do heat resistant decaqls then??? ive done a bit of homework and found some companys doing stuff in foil and 4mm think heat resistant vinyl so its possible

Jason probably has a box full of them for spares  ;)

Why not get some aluminium sheet cut to the spec of the original badge and get Brooky to do a normal decal and stick it to that and rivet it?that would withstand the heat. An idea?

Wasn't it Fontyy who went to Japan and got some ethos stickers??

here I am, back from the moon...

First of all...the thread that Tony refers too is indeed about getting some Ethos decals/stickers. Rhory or Gareth tried to get some copies made, so that was also about the font size and so on.

I have some brand new ones of Ethos (blue old logo and smaller newer logo). Sadly I still do not have them off TSR. Although I can try them again. The exhaust badges are no go at the moment. Already tried since 2008 to get them from TSR direct. I am wearing fleece jacket that I bought from TSR direct but that logo is embroided on my fleece and is hugh and different on clothing then on their cans  My brother does not live in Japan. He residence in Hong Kong atm.

Tony, you have pm regarding logo's.

When looking at the Mercury Race Exhaust badge...that is just an oval plate with probably an heat resistant decal/foil. TSR is very much the same. If I remember correct, then the blue decal can be peeled off the rivet plate. I can check tommorrow at work what they use overthere as heat resistant and printed foils ;)

I've purchased some Ethos stickers from yahoo Japan before.

Good quality foil decal, they come up for sale pretty often in 2 different designs, here's a couple:
