Can Anyone Recommend Me A Trackday
I want to loose my track virginity this year
I am on a restricted licence that doesn't run out until next february, so i need a trackday event that doesn't have any licence restrictions.
Also i see some track days costing £200 but others costing £70-100. Does the difference in price constitute how long you get on track? I live at the arse end of cornwall so travelling to any track wil be a big journey so you can understand i dont want to ride all that way for an hour or so session.
What sort of price am i looking at for an all day session, they do mean "all day" dont they?
Ben

Re: Can Anyone Recommend Me A Trackday
You cannot ride on any MSV tracks (Brands, Cadwell, Snetterton, Oulton) on the restricted licence.
You can ride Anglesey, Mallory, Rockingham, Lydden, Castle Combe (if you get a day), Pembrey and silverstone
Trackdays are pretty much 6x20min sessions. that is plenty. 20 mins fries your head.
Find out where is easiest o get to, get a 2 daty event booked so you can justify the travel and enjoy.
5hrs to a track is harsh....but not that harsh.
They are cheap in the off season and can be up to £230 ish for Brands GP
Rockingham is cheap and usually about 120 -they also do back to back sat/sun and on 2 track configs too..
Mallory is also cheap - usually £100 or so. In the off season it is about £50..

Re: Can Anyone Recommend Me A Trackday
Join the RAF Odiham Motorcycle Club (£20) then trackdays on the airfield are £50 or £60ish. Same set-up as most of focussed events/no limits type track days with 20 minute sessions. 3 experience levels Novice, Inters and Expert.
No restriction on the Licences - just no 125's unless its a GP bike!!
Odiham offers camping the evening before, and you get to set-up the track on the airfield.
Also free set-up advice from the experienced riders and mechanics who attend
Its 230ish miles from Hayle. (easy ride up the A30 then A303 and M3)
Check out www. omcc.co.uk for more info!!

Re: Can Anyone Recommend Me A Trackday
I forgot to say Odiham MCC is a non -profit making club - all profits from trackdays go to local charities. Some goes back into events club members want to run or attend such as Cadwell Park trackdays
- the club booked the whole track for 2 days in the summer for the sole use of OMCC members!!!
So attending it was greatly subsidised (£130 for two days track time)
