Jammed Brake - Can I Live With Just One Front Brake?
I need the bike urgently but one of the brake has jammed on the guide and knowin that aluminium and steel weld together pretty well it's a case of having to buy a new one.
Question is can I get away with stripping the caliper and lines off and live with only the one for a week whilst I wait for the new parts?
Also does nyone know if CB600 Hornet 1999 guides are compatible with a 1991 CB400 Superfour? I could get a set of CB600 calipers and rails for £40 or a set of CB400's for £60

Guides are the same for NC23/NC29 & CB600F Hornet so no prob...
Freeing up the sliding pins/guides is straightforward! Strip, clean and regrease, new pins & rubber seals are cheap enough from DSS, plus you wont have to faff re-bleeding etc...
***1999 CB600F caliper pistons are 27mm, not 25mm as per the 400's...

It will work but the brakes will be horrible, as your master cylinder will be over-sized. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
