Hi
Having recently purchased an NC30 that has not been used for sometime, I am sorting out all the usual plus a few bits of previous abuse. One of these I found was the front pipes had been welded ( not very well ) to the collector box. Having removed all weld and purchased new seals and clamps I'm trying to work out how they are suppposed to be assembled. Do the seals just but up against the collector stubs and get held in place by the clamps, and if so where about does the clamp sit - is it part on collector / part on the collector flange. clarification of this would be appreciated.

Re: NC30 front pipe to collector fitting
The seals slip over the front downpipes, then get inserted into the rear pipes and clamps over them. It's a pretty tight fit, they need some force sometimes, especially if you use new seals.
The exhaust page of the parts manual here will explain it better:
