pillion seat question

Post by shereen » Tue Jan 18, 2011 8:23 pm

Could someone do me a massive favour please.... iv had to get a new pillion seat off ebay to go with the new fairing on my nc30. it arrived in 1 piece, however the fitments on the underside of the seat are completely different to the one on the old seat, as a result it does not fit at all...... i phoned the guy up (a breakers) and sent him a picture of the 2 different seats, he is insisting the seat he sent is correct and is saying the subframe on my bike must be different :(

I need to know whether he has sent me the wrong seat (to get my dollar back) or if the subframe is indeed different.

Big thanks to anyone who can help.

Shereen

All NC30 pillion seats should fit all NC30s

You sure he's not sent you an NC24 seat??

Send us a link to the sale ;)

That's the link to the sale, but not a great picture. I was also under the impression that all nc30 parts were interchangeable and also mentioned this to the guy. He said that as mine is on a 1993 plate it might be different  hmmmm?

It is not an NC30 seat...

Don't be paying £20 for one either...get hold of Geoff33 on here and he'll probably have one for you.

If not, I may have a spare and am sure if I don't, come other bugger on here will!!

as mark said, deffo not an NC30 seat,

probally off a conversion done to a NC30.

id be asking for a refund, under distance selling regulations you can use his discription to your advantage, as he listed it as a genuine NC30 seat, and make a claim via paypal, when sending back, send it recorded as you have to have proof you sent it or paypal wont honour the claim, also you may not get your P&P money back i think its one crap things about ebay and paypal is you have to stump up the postage even if they make the mistake, a decent seller will refund your postage.
OFFERED FOR SALE IN THIS AUCTION IS A GENUINE HONDA VFR400 NC30 REAR SEAT
someone on here will provide a pic of a genuine one to prove he is wrong if need be.
