NC35 carbs on NC30, a few questions...
Ok, so as you might or might not know, I buggered one NC30 carb....
I'm nearly done with my NC35 carbs cleaning and was thinking, what the heck, install them now
or fix the NC30 carbs...
I looked on the forum for days on about which setup but cannot make my mind up, so I thought maybe someone here can steer me in the right direction
.
some info about my bike
stock engine with stock exhaust
will not be raced
used as a daily driver to commute to work
should I:
HRC the carbs to the max
use only the HRC slide springs
use the air-tray and no airflap rubber thing
short velocity stacks regardless of HRC or not
etc...
Jetting, yeah I know use the search... ( I did), currently with 110 jets all around. So depending on your recommendation from the above, what jet?
thanks for your time :)

Re: NC35 carbs on NC30, a few questions...
I cannot comment on NC35 carbs. But for NC30 carbs:
IMO, Don't waste your time/money on HRC'ing with a stock exhaust.
I use 120/120 dynojets, Rick's needles (raised), 2.25mm drilled slides, pipercross filter foam with no snorkel but have other mods (exhaust, ignition box etc). This is excellent on the road.

118 X 115 Are will be fine for uk then.gonzothegreat wrote:In the UK, but not from the UK.porndoguk wrote:also i should ask what country you in>?
110's tend to be a little lean, and are the standard setup for japan as a rule,
drill slides, raise needles 0.5mm, and jet to 118 rear, 115 front,
rick oliver sells jets for £2.50 each, any bigger and your bike will run rich, and cause further problems.
if you wanna do the HRC route your running before you can walk so to speak.
the V4 engine is a very finicky engine and needs to be tuned in moderation to other variables.
read cammos post about carbs that will have any answers to anything else you need to know.

Re: NC35 carbs on NC30, a few questions...
Would go with std RVF jetting to be honest. Std can, standard airboc, snorkle all air flaps etc.
108s all round...
I run 35 carbs on my 30 but with no airbox lid, thin foam and rull (proper full) system. I use 130s...

^ what he said, do not go using Nc30 jet sizing on 35 carbs, it wont work.
108's or maybe 110's and HRC slide springs, standard airbox/flap setup
