hi guys im in the process of replacing the fork seals on my aeros fork legs Ive removed the cirlcip retaining the seal and removed the alen bolt form the bottom of the fork leg how ever the forks wil not still separate form the sliders any body able to point me in the direction of how to go about this please , many thanks ben :grin:

please somebody if it helps ill try explaining it in non gerbosh like i wrote last night lol , the issue being is i cannot get the fok sliders away frim the fork legs even though i have removed the retaining bolts under each leg, and removed the cirlips on both legs that retain the seals i can hear something sliding up and down inside the leg but it will not fall out , also if it makes any difference my forks air the air pressured one , here as if i belve right the later tri arm and gull arm use full on hrdrolic set up ?,


do not mean in anway too sound cocky and sarcastic i apriacte all you guys on here for your wealth of knowledge , im jsut desprate to get the new seals in so i can start building the bike back up bit by bit lol :grin:

Are you doing it properly? With the tube fully inside the slider you pull it out quickly so that the bushes strike the oil seal in a hammering motion. Keep doing this until it's out.

It might help to clamp it in a vice. Clamp the slider (lower) not the tube, and use a couple of bits of wood to prevent damage.

yeah thanks for the extra tip there bud i also found it helps if you remove the other Allen bolt out the bottom as well lol luckily didn't damage the forks so all good once again thanks for your help mate , one other question though i wanted to start a thread for my project do i do it in the cbr section or general members bikes pictures ? :grin:
