having said that ive just ordered 2 HRC hoses from DSS for less that £2's
Have you got the OE hose I sent you yet ricky?
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Re: Rocking the HRC Boat?
Is this a kids intro to economics or something?
I thought a mark up is usually common sense in the retail world. Its not a crazy profit margin either...

Re: Rocking the HRC Boat?
Excuse my ignorance here but what does the HRC Brake Resevoir Hose kit and the HRC radiator flow kit offer over the standard items or are they just replacement parts?

Re: Rocking the HRC Boat?
Easy answer - nothing, its for the look really. The HRC overflow bottle is a lighter way to go if you're running a race, or track bike but can be used on the road too.
& Cammy, its not about "a kids intro to economics" its about sharing the info for getting good parts / stuff, as cheap as possible. Why pay full "retail" when you can get it for, in some cases, less than half.
If you want to pay over the odds, crack on.

Also that it is not only the Honda crew that get these kits..and our poorer biking cousins who own something other than a piece of V4 magic don't have the manuals to hand to get the numbers for the pieces.
If you get them in individual bags form Honda then you get to receive a small white ziptie in a HRC bag
1 x ty lap magic!

Re: Rocking the HRC Boat?
I think they are shit. I ran it on my 400's and they eventually fail. I ran it again on the CBR and it failed again. Basically the hose hardens and starts to crack then eventually leaks fluid out the bottom where the jubilee clip is.
They look good and tidied the 'Blade up, but I've now gone for a small Brembo pot and generic black hose, much better I think,

Rocking the HRC Boat?
Certainly a better option Gareth for everyday use, BUT the hrc option isn't an everyday solution. I'm sure the race teams replace them after every outing?

I'd agree, if anyone is buying, I'd recommend you buy a few hoses and if you do what I did and cut the hose in half and get twice as long out of it
