'Gasket Material' on ebay is your friend here, you'll find various lengths and thicknesses available. A punch set is handy too, especially when your making sump / clutch cover gaskets all the while as it makes it real easy and need.

A hole punch also works well on some of the M6 (8mm head) bolts.

Card / Tin cans can also work well, but more so on older bikes.. my own M15 '66 suzuki sports moped engine is put together with a Heinekken headgasket (several cans) and a bran flakes base-gasket.

The breather isn't going to be throwing much oil so card would probably be fine, but gasket material is slightly less oil peneterable than a kellogs box and would be the best choice.
