Jonno, use this gearing calculator. You can find all of the info in the haynes manual that you need to put into it.

Re: Changing gearing on nc35
Hey Cammo,
Thanks for the link. I like to use this one:
http://www.gearingcommander.com/
When I select RVF400 and make the custom gearing 14/38 the top table tells me in 1st gear at 12500 revs it will do 81.3kmh with stock gearing, 75.8 with -1 on the front. Does this mean with -1 on the front when the speedo reads 81.3 it will actually be doing 75.8?
Cheers

I used to use a digital pushbike speedo (magnet and pickup on the front wheel) then you can change the gearing to your heart's content without worrying about speeding.

Re: Changing gearing on nc35
hmm I'll check out what my local push bike shop has Cammo.
But I might wait 5-6 more months to change the gearing, as my front sprocket looks pretty good and the red P plates on the back of my bike attract cops enough already. When my P plates turn green I might go -1 on the front

Why wait? Police aren't going to know whether you've changed you gearing!
