I've now managed to make my clutch stop working..

I made this mistake when i was messing about with my clutch.
Mark is right in what he is talking about, if you have only taken off the socket side cover then the prob can only be on that side.

So you have the push rod with two rounded ends about 18 inches in length. Onto the end of this goes a thing that is about 1.5inches and female on one end so it can slot onto the pushrod.

I suggest you get an exploded view of the clutch mechanism. This will make a lot more sense then

OK guys got it rectified.

It just so happens there was never a problem in the first place. I was just assuming that because when I had the clutch in and the bike in first gear, the rear wheel should spin relatively easily. But I'm told it's normal that it should still be hard to move. And once I put the fairings back on and everything, and then pushed the bike around in first gear with the clutch in, all seems good :)
