Jonno, it might be worth contacting James at Zenodamper. He used to frequent 400GB a bit, but I haven't heard from him lately. He knows his 400s and he's located in Sydney.

I seem to recall a refresh of an NC30 shock was about $180. He can fully trick it out too with compression and valve and spring it to your weight, etc. He may even have some NC30 shocks in stock? Worth a chat. Check out his website:

Hey mate thanks alot for that. A couple months ago I called every suspension place in Sydney and there were only 2 places wanting to touch my bike.

Gave him a call and he suggested against going for the NC30 shock and he wanted to sell me a Penske but he said if I want to go for the NC30 option he's happy to help me out. If Mark and Cammo race on rebuilt NC30 shocks then I think they will be fine for the riding I'm doing. He's going to see if he's got any 2nd hand shocks and springs lying around and get back to me with prices.

Are NC30 shocks soft as standard? I weigh 70kg.

By the time I get an NC30 one rebuilt it will cost about as much as a new Hagon shock. I'm wondering which one will be better for the awful roads I'm forced to ride on regularly..

I would reckon that an nc30 shock done by zeno would be better than a hagon, just my 2c. I a rebuilt standard shock on my racebike. It was originally built when Oz regs only allowed shocks from the same model as the racebike and could be from bikes built no later than 2000.

Mine's not standard, it has plenty of mods done (compression adjustment added, different spring, valving etc). It would have cost a bit to get done. I am pleased with it though.

The standard nc30 shocks are fine if in good condition. I would still rather have a newer cbr/gsx-r shock on my roadbike though.....

i have a hagon in one bike (which i tracked) and a nitron in my road bike. Nitron is a great shock for the money. Hagon is a great shock too, for what it is.

Planning on getting my Hagon refurbished at some point in the future as it done me proud on the track.

hmm okay well I'll see what it will cost me to get an NC30 refurbished and will go for whatever is cheaper out of that and a Hagon :)

Can anyone recommend anyone else who may be able to help me out with this? If James from Zenodamper can't help me out I may have to source an NC30 shock from overseas, so it might work out cheaper to get it rebuilt overseas as well, and then shipped over
