Fzr400rrsp cam timing info wanted

Post by KIYOSHI » Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:44 am

Has anyone got any tried and tested cam timing settings for race 3tj engines with adjustable gears and any info/recommendation for skimming amounts off heads and blocks/barrels

Thanks

I use the settings from the Race Kit Manual, Inlet 102 / Exhaust 105. I did once try different settings on a dyno but didn't like the look of the results, so went back to 102/105.
All I can recommend on the Compression Ratio, is work out what fuel you are going to use first.

Don't suppose I could bother you for a copy of the kit manual please??? ATM the engine I'm rebuilding was running 99I 102E I think.

Thanks for info

I copied this from the Kent Cams website - it's their Race cam timing

The 3TJ Race Kit Manual is pretty crappy really. Doesn't have a lot of good info on engine building. If you pm me your email address, I will scan a few relevant pages for you and send pdf.
