Flatline . . . . . . . Dyno graph related

Post by CRM »

Just picked up my UK NC30 from chris at Dynopro in runcorn. It went in for the simple reason, as nice as the bike was in condition and to ride, it was always a bit of a slug compared to my others.

So bear in mind its a bog standard UK spec bike with original pipe and carbs and airbox, it went in and made an earth shattering 52bhp on the dyno, only to come out making a far healthier 60bhp.

It sure rides nice and it lovely and grunty from 5k upwards, far more so than the RVF i rode down there.

Nice curves ;) This is the one with the 35 cams yes?

yep, heads have been "cleaned up" and it now has a set of RVF cams inside too. goes like a NC30 should, Chris wanted me to get a pipe on it, he felt with a pipe and airbox, 70 was achievable. sounds like a nice healthy motor too, spins up nice and quick

RVF is going for a "setup"

Sounds like a peach of a motor you got there, you gunna get a pipe for it or keep it standard?

What was chris's plans for the airbox? some sort of ram air?

No Tony, the plan with this UK bike is to keep it as standard as possible, well to the pipe and carbs at least. I dont see internal mods as anything that ruins its originality as such, only enhanced anyway cams are hidden.
No idea about carb setup, its only a road bike as such makes sense to make power lower down rather than sacrifice low down power for that extra couple of bhp up top. if i wanna go faster i go get the 750 out ;)

Nice one. Mine was 57 and too rich, now runs far better with K&N and the HRC-2 map. Must get it back on the rollers
