If you want an inexpensive carbon can and you aren't worried about a big name company, have a look at this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
Real carbon fibre, you specify the length between 250-450mm, you specify the inlet diameter, overall diameter is 110mm, weight is 1,729g including decibel killer and 'good quantity and quality pack', all for £120 posted.

I don't own one - I've recently been searching for a can for my University's Formula Student car and this is the best I have found so far so we may buy one soon.

If anyone knows of a contender I'd love to hear.

As for Akrapovic cans, this seller was selling new carbon oval race cans for £169 (RRP £385 apparently), although they were 60mm fitment. They've got some s/h Yoshis up atm so maybe keep and eye out:

Agree with Wozza.
The purpose for changing the pipes is I am building a Track bike so purely for performance.
If purpose to build track bike you don't need to worry about brands or 'sounds', you need to save weight - so, any light, small can with 51mm inner dimmension will fit. But for the race I think will be reasonable to paid for full exhaust system.
